Well, crashed on the way to lowes and found out i was low on cash.

Seriously though, bi-fold doors need to be phased out because they obviously can't be shipped without being damaged. Also, the "plumbing" employees are freaking' useless. I told the guy I need at least 12" from center line of faucet (where it mounts) to where the water comes out. He walked to the side of the thing, and said, that one LOOKS longer. I was holding a tape measure in my hand.

Then, I got a lecture from a lady in the aisle that faucets with a single knob are a PITA. She went on for 10min. I need a beer.

The lecture was a customer. And yes, every other trip I've made to spend at least $5k there over the past year, I have gotten excellent help from the associates. Today was not a good day.

Fck me! The day just keep getting worse!

Took the backstrap off my M&P40c and was looking at how they designed the frame under the backstrap. What did I find?

It looks like a crack in the frame.

Have to get out the camera, take a picture and I'll post it up to see if people think its actually a crack (definitely looks like one, though its possible its just the surface of the polymer frame has like a "bubble"). I really do NOT want to send it in to S&W for the next 3-4 weeks.

There is also a brown/metal color thing that looks like a patch job in the ribbing.

I will, trying to get a good photo while paying attention to the phone conference I'm on right now... Give me a little bit and I'll post a pic in here.

Haha, true. Looking at it closer, it might be like a "fold" in the polymer if that makes sense. Like, it didn't get heated up enough or something, really hard to describe. Grabbing camera and dragging phone with.

Okay, here is a pic of the "crack" and the brown "patch/fix/metal/not-factory-grease"... thoughts? (click to open full screen)

    Attachment 33457Attachment 33459

Left pic has the "crack", right corner of the frame.
Right pic has the "brown-crud/metal-patch". In the square opening, closest to the table.

I don't want to call S&W asking the if its a crack, cause they'll just say "send it in and we'll look at it". Don't have a local gunsmith who could really look at it in person and decide.

Half tempted to mark the ends of the "crack" with tape or something then go shoot it a bunch and see if the size changes.
