I bought a Lyman primer pocket swager too, hand tool. It was good for about 250 cases before it started getting dull. Contacted Lyman and they took about 3 weeks to send me out a replacement. Need to buy a better quality one eventually.

I asked for a GoPro-like camera for Xmas. I hate the size, bulk, and lens of the gopro cameras, but I really like the idea.
Just doing what I can to stay on this side of the dirt.

Alas, you are the 3rd person to send that my way, but the first person I don't know in person, so you get props for that!

You've heard of the VLA (Very Large Array), right? It's that huge array of telescopes in Socorro NM that Jody Foster was seen "observing" by listening with headphones to the radio dishes (which isn't how radio observing works, but I digress). There is also the Very Large Baseline Array, that has dishes across the world, effectively making a radio dish the size of the Earth.

In case you didn't know how radio observing works, they can use interferometry to "stitch" together signal from various radio dishes. If you have two dishes that are 1m in diameter and 100m apart, if you use interferometry you effectively have a 100m dish. There are talks of putting a dish on the Moon, which would make for a ridiculously large dish lol.

    Anywho,

    Anywho,

I know/understand a good part of that. Former Microwave Radio tech, etc.

I have seen Contact many times and like one must do with many entertainment pieces, overlook the technical faux pas.

The technology is amazing. Yet Dish cannot figure out how to make my DVR record an entire show.

I have that Lyman all in one tool. They're blatently not tool steel. I think I've pretty much worn this one to a nub on only 100 cases.

Awesome! I never know what people's backgrounds are, but not many know anything about telescopes.

Agreed, it took me a while to realize what she was listening to. When I observe, I listen to music or movies

And that is why I don't own a TV!

I'm just too cheap, I'd rather watch shows on Hulu. If its not available on Hulu, we got to my wife's parents house and commandeer their tv lol. (but that's pretty rare)
