Well, I haven't heard of Hefty... Then again, I got out of the offroading community when I moved to NM in 2010. And even before then, I wasn't all that active for the past few years. I know that the quality of Shrock is amazing. And fyi, I bought my sliders as bare steel and primed/painted them with a truck bed liner. I've touched them up once, but the color I bought was the same grey as the plastic on the truck, so it looks extra nice.

Also forgot to mention I've got 33x10.5's on my offbrand D-Ring steel 15" wheels. They stick to anything and everything.

Comparing their sliders, they look almost identical and are made of identical materials, for almost the same price... So what's the difference?

Hm, no idea. I know that mine mount in 3 spots to the frame and have only 1 tube support in the middle. My guess is the hefty is newer and copied Shrock's design, because I know Shrock has been around since at least 2004 and I've never heard of Hefty. At the time, the only people making parts for the X was Shrockworks, Calmini and 4x4parts (but that was suspension parts only).

Lead times and shipping. You could also see if a local shop is able to weld up a set using the Trail Gear slider kit. It could come out a not cheaper.

Oh Jee-zus! Hefty ships freight only, so they charge $160 for shipping!

He told me to drive from Greeley to pick up a bumper. You'll be able to go there to pick up.
