By the time you spend the $$ to blueprint, square, and true an action, you're about 80% of the way to a top shelf action (Surgeon, Defiance, Templar) anyways.
There is a way to get the best of both worlds, actually. Now......lets see if it works!!

Savage has a really neat way of attaching barrels to their actions. I know a guy that can replicate that in a Remington action, so that it doesn't take a gunsmith and several hundred dollars to have a new barrel screwed on correctly.

I posted a terrible video about charging handles.

Eh, give it a day or two to update. I had a package a week or two ago (might have been my rifle actually) that was "delayed due to weather conditions" and it wasn't actually delayed at all. In fact, there weren't even any inclement weather systems between ABQ, where the package was delayed at, and here.
