    That's good,,

I'm wiped out from moving huge rock. Wife found a residential place in Brighton on CL wanting rock removed from the back yard. If anyone had paid for it to be delivered, the rock and the labor would have been a couple grand I bet. She got this huge pile of mixed rock for $100. We just have to move it....my back is strained and there's probably 7 or 8 more yards of it to move. Big stuff too.

    I HATE rock!!!!!!

you might have called a company. Some quaries are cheaper than you think. I got some great sand, around 3,000+ lbs for $22. Drove the trailer then, and then crawled home excited I got so much for so bloody cheap.

Math caught up with me on that.... all together it's about 8 yards of stuff, and almost half of it has been moved so far.

    That's more accurate.

I hate rock too....moving it, that is.

I'm just trying to help her out, she wants it, so I'm throwing down the effort and time.

I remember working for ADM landscaping and we had to haul rock from a drive way, down a hill into a back yard, dump, then spread. I must have maid 20+ wheel barrel trips. Take 600mg motrin, a glass of water, and 2 beers once you are done.

We've used barrows to move most of it so far, but I think dollies are more in order now. The smaller stuff got moved first. We'll meet there again on Thursday and get a few more loads with trailers.

Just got a current market price on "per ton of granite boulders" at $85. We've already got a few tons moved. She's getting a good deal.
