I have 14 days I have to take off by the end of the year. I don't even have any where to be for that much time. I'm going to take two weeks off to fix my broken ass cars so I can get rid of them.

And I am very hard at work! I'm currently sourcing vendors and getting quotes/lead times for my potentially long lead time items. So far, I have a list of parts around $16k, and that doesn't include shipping, the 500 bolts or 100 dowels I need to assemble everything. On top of that, I have enough machining to keep a small shop busy for 6mo (which is expensive...). I'm starting to think my total cost estimate of $80k was not high enough... Oh well, it's too late for a redesign!

Enjoy those days, Irving. After my shoulder surgery last year 7/31...my work anniversary happened, and I got reloaded with three weeks of vaca and never took 'em. Right now I'm cashing them out and getting two paychecks a week for three consecutive weeks. I need the money right now, but the time would have been nice.

I modded up a steel plate to help reenforce my cheesy "security" gate here at the new pad. It's a little chicken dick-ish, but it's an improvement. I dont have the time or money to install a 1/4 thick steel 4x4 set in concrete, the way it needs to be done......right now. It's a quick fix, but suitable for now.

Paint is drying on it now, flip it and get the other side.....dry......and get it installed today.

No need to get fancy with a huge square steel tubing, just get a 4x4 piece of wood, round off the corners, sand all the sides down to flat and then spray paint it to look like steel... If it looks like steel, it's probably steel. Most thieves aren't smart .
