What sucks is the nearest store with stuff to loot is 12 miles away. The detriment of living on the frontier.

Might have to go on vacation for some looting action.
Well the pork came out just about right - I undersalted. The beauty of salt is you can always add more!
Curious...how many prefer salty to sweet or savory? My ranking is:
salty > savory > bitter > sweet + salty > sweet

And MSG is #1!
Never let a crisis go to waste!
For the record, I love thvigil's avatar.
I also agree with the flavor rating, even though I have no idea what savory tastes like.
"There are no finger prints under water."
Forgot bitter...off my A - game tonight.
Hmmm.........Savory.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Umami
Savory, called Umami in Japanese, implies the presence of Glutamates, the carboxylate anions and salts of the amino acid glutamic acid. The identification Glutamate receptors on the tongue only took place in the past decade, although the ability of the tongue to detect glutamates has long been know. In the early Twentieth Century, a Japanese scientist isolated monosodium glutamate (MSG) while researching the savoriness of seaweed broth.
In short, just as saltiness signifies sodium ions, savory signifies glutamates.
