too late on welcoming him to the PWT, Irving. I think I scared Driver off a while ago.

Penny Pincher video... that dang thing is going to kill me. I'm laid up with the flu, so I'll see if I can get it wrapped up tomorrow...
Just doing what I can to stay on this side of the dirt.

No pressure on that video. I hope you aren't banging your head against the wall trying to do what you think other people want, instead of what you want.

I'm at I-25 and hwy 66 again tonight. I'm at the 7-11 tonight though. I'm staying away from the gas station that can't be named.

Do you have a radio in your vehicle? Ham, CB, or otherwise?

The thing with nice houses is that rooms aren't just simple boxes, there are all kinds of coves and fancy trim, etc. Where I'm going with this is that it takes a long time to draw all the rooms, then measure everything, then figure out what needs to be done in each room. After that, I get to go home and do it all electronically as I put it into my computer. So today was a pretty good day.

It took me two hours at this house today, and all the mitigation equipment was still there attempting to dry out this 1,500 sq/ft basement. Sometimes mitigation stuff is just fans and dehumidfiers, but in this case, the heat was on as well. It must have been 95-99 degrees in there, and I showed up in a sweater. The marble counter tops were hot to the touch it was so hot in there. I stripped off that sweater right away and got to work. I was afraid all my sweat was going to smudge my pencil blue print. Still working now, but in a good mood about it. I like showing improvement at stuff.

When's the next match and the next Penny Pincher Build video?
We train our measure guys to take pics or video of the job, in a manner that will help them avoid trips back to "check" something. When finalizing drawings a manager reviews drawings and video/pics with tech to look for pitfalls an accuracy issues.

Our industry is also starting to utilize tablets/pads with software designed to do production drawings on site that can be uploaded directly to the server or emailed to office so that tech and manager can review before leaving site.
