    It's what I thought I remembered from your post about working down a load. I thought you were quizzing us. After I posted I thought maybe your post about how low you could go was for a different bullet weight, but didn't bother correcting since it's only in the PWT. Sorry if I got you excited.

    Well i usually go to mfg load data and work from there. While also reading the load data info from Speer, Hornady, #49 etc. I'm not near my data sheets so you're going to do your own leg work for now.

    Curious you read the data given on the container? Keeping in mind that data is HIGH END of load.

    Bummer. My study was pretty unscientific and I was hoping somebody else here had some experience.

    Yeah, I'm WAY below the official "starting point" on any official load data. I'm around 18 gr., but that wasn't consistently locking back my bolt on an empty mag.
