    Really? dang.

    I spent over $100 on a muzzle break once. Once. Now I try to spend less than $60, which is cheaper than a barrel threading.

    Forgot to mention, a muzzle break takes the brunt of the blast so that your baffles don't get torn up as much. Seems like a worthy investment, but I'm biased.

    The other side of that would be to re-thread the brake. I have a brake that works great for .308 but only comes in Fal size (9/16) I got bert to cut and thread it to 5/8" and am very happy because the brake itself is only $28.

    Oh, the one on the second Saturday I was talking about is in Dumont. Let me check when the Colorado Springs one is. Might be able to make an exception to shoot with you.
