Decent app if I was looking. Although I don't think they highlight some of the unique card perks enough (like club passes and priority boarding on UA cards).
I'm pretty happy now with my UA Mileage Plus. For the annual fee, I get two free club passes, group 2 boarding, and my travel miles with UA also count towards my preferred hotel chain Hilton. I also buy my annual seat upgrade with the card if I don't make status (haven't the last two years) so I get to double dip that a bit too. The card is paid in full every month to avoid any interest.
I should do something with my Amex though. I still hang onto the Gold Amex I've had for 15 years and lately the annual fee barely gets covered by the rewards with the smaller spend on that card. I should probably move some monthly bills back to it since I can meet my annual UA spend bonus pretty easy otherwise. I just can't justify the $475 annual fee for the Amex Platinum as the other perks on it don't make sense for me.
I'm at a point now that I don't want more cards than I already have. I have a Bank credit line card, a Credit Union card, a (recent) store zero APR card, the UA card and the Amex. I only carry a balance on one zero APR promo card and one zero APR store card that will both be paid down long before the promo ends. The store card is paid off in the next 90 days. I actually paid part of my 2014 tax bill on the zero APR CU card and pay it off over time. I could pay them all off at any time from savings but prefer the liquidity somewhere besides the CC limits.
The cards carrying a balance probably affect my credit score a little, but certainly not worse than all the student loan debt I am co-maker for. While the number is not as great as I would like it to be, it's good enough to get me the best rates if the need arises.

I think this is more geared toward people who are looking for sign up bonuses. For example, we have a trip we want to plan, and I'm trying to buy a car soon. If I can sweet talk the dealer into letting me purchase the car on a card, maybe I could get the whole family trip for free on a new card, then cancel it before the annual fee. I'd pay an extra $500+ for a vehicle if it got me a serious discount on a several thousand dollar trip.

Listen bub, I've got the cash for the car. Many credit cards offer so many points if you spend $3,000 in the first three months. I plan to use that calculator to see what kind of benefits I can get if I put $7,000 - $10,000 onto the card. For example, maybe there is an initial bonus period where you get double points for spending or something. It's worth a look at the least.
I don't think you did. Must have told my wife when you were talking to her on my phone.
Here is my latest idea. Wifi enabled electronic door lock on the front door that allows me to change the keycode remotely. "What's your home address? Okay, that's the key code to get you into the cabin. Enjoy the weekend."
Of course with a back up manual key some where.
