"African cuisine"? I hear it's great but the portions are really small.

Lo and Behold: it turns out they invited some pretty serious folks, including a couple pros. They tried to take me up this 'insane' climb. I don't know the local name for it, but they called it 'Our Version of Stelvio' (a famous mountain pass in Italy). It was a massacre. I made it up first, with the next guy (a pro) appearing a full 7 minutes after I did. After the climb (and the ridiculous descent), we got into this fairly flat area where one of the pros just screamed by me. He must have been going ~30mph, while I was holding steady at ~22mph. I had already figured this guy out, and he was about to run out of gas, so I juts upped my pace a little and within a couple minutes I caught him. Then I got in front of him.

(one of the hardest things you can do is to sprint from the front. the riders behind you get the draft and they can sling-shot past you pretty easily. Essentially, you have to put up some pretty good acceleration numbers in order to actually drop someone from the front)

And I made it very obvious that I was going to start a sprint. Then I sprinted. Hard. Full-gas effort. Punk couldn't keep up.

    Pro. yeah right.
After remembering the whole violin competition story, this story makes a lot more sense. When I say makes sense, I don't mean there is an issue with the story telling layout or believability, rather why your natural response to a group ride was to mercilessly destroy everyone.

Im kinda bummed out though.....I have my bunny suit on and all that....but I lost the 9 year old somewhere near the concession stand. I do see some likely and perspective "associates" that I can approach, but my stuffed animal shipment was sent wrong address and I'm low on candy at the same time. Logistics can kick your ass.

Ran a claim today where the roofers showed up about 40 minutes before I did and marked up the roof with a quarter in order to create damage. It was pretty obvious. Bunch of clowns.
