My Dodge has a stupid work around as well. I forget the details now, but basically the starter relay, and several others, are all incorporated into a relay board. When the starter relay goes out, you have to replace the entire board. When that problem started, the boards where like $1,500! While they've dropped in price over the years, they are still $800-$900 or something. Anyway, now Dodge sells a jumper kit for $30 with a set of instructions explaining which wires to cut to wire in the new relay.
