One chick died. It was lethargic. I watched some videos, came back and it was dead. Less than an hour between the time I noticed and it dying.

It's always a pleasure to leave a kind note to an elderly woman that says you love her, and thank you for letting me be in your life.

Only to be thrown in the trash with no mention of it.

Brother your taking it way to personal, you try and it's noticed but not observed, blame it on the age or condition or whatever but dude just know your doing the honorable thing and that has more value than anything in the world. If we had more honorable people our society wouldn't be as messed up as it is that's for sure. Trust me I know it's hard but just try not to take it to heart

Btw I can honestly say I met some of the coolest people today in my class and it was a privilege for me to give them some information that , to top it if I had a blast!!!

Most fun i've had in a long time.

It also reminded me of why I love being apart of this community Call it cheesy but the term "salt of the earth" really does describe not only COAR but most of the people in the firearms community in general.

    Hoverines!!!

It happens. Went to visit me 94 yr old grandmother in the nursing home, while on layover on the east coast. Walk in and surprise her. Then she says, i'm getting my hair done, can you come back tomorrow? Who are you again?

Damn, dude that just rips at me because the day (literally) before my mom passed she was diagnosed with moderate to severe dementia. I received a couple disorienting calls before that prompted a Cogency test. I'm sorry GK and Lobo, just do what I'm trying and remember them at the high points of their lives since they can't right now.

Yeah...don't want to be a downer about it. It just sucked.

Cognitive moments come and go, but that wasn't one of 'em. I can deal, the family here can deal...but it's hard on everyone involved, and it's been 3 months now. Everyone is strung out but holding it together, tough to watch and be part of.

I did get my annual visit with Heston in tonight, and I don't expect anyone to really understand that. I do it every year.
