Okay, most developed chick vs least developed chick. Look at that comb coming in!

One is standing tall and the other squatting, so the difference in size looks slightly more exaggerated, but it's still there. Rhode Island Red (right) and Barred Rock.

My neighbor ordered a bunch of tadpoles for his ponds last summer. We were looking at them with a flashlight last night and when I turned around I saw that one had migrated to my yard. I let him know that if that keeps happening in the next few weeks when all the birds move outside, he's going to have a lot less frogs! Picture taken in what will be their run.

After severe discipline from my wife, the dog was on her BEST behavior around the birds; yesterday at least.
EDIT: If you look close, you can see a cat looking at everyone through the dirty glass on the door.

After looking at many pictures of framed roofs this week, I'm more nervous than ever to stand on gable ends of homes now that I've seen how many people do a ladder instead of a true lookout/barge rafter to support the overhang. I've been on a roof where the gable overhang was not attached at a chimney and was visibly sagging about 6 inches. I was up there with some newbie roof salesman and when I pointed it out, he didn't pay attention to what I was pointing at and went to walk over to stand where I was pointing. I grabbed him by the belt and probably saved him some broken bones since we were close to the peak of the roof on a true two story.

If that was our dog, the only thing around her would be feathers.

That's a big coop. Wish I could do a run that easy with my space.

That's bigger than what they're building in LA backyards for the homeless.
