    I learned the hard way to use backer board and install per manufacturer instructions. Save yourself the pain and do it that way.

    It's been such a long time for me, I can't remember if I can do tile decently or not. Last several jobs were big enough that I farmed out the work, but some small stuff coming up I might attempt myself.

    sliced open my left thumb pretty good doing food prep tonight. The bad is it bled a lot and when I jerked my hand back blood sprayed everywhere in the kitchen. The good, I had a first aid kit with adequate gauze, neosporin and bandaids on hand to take care of it.

    On the bright side, I got a cool real life Dexter lesson in how blood spatter works sans the homicide portion.
