And then I was shelling one and a piece popped off and hit me in the eye. These are taste great, but they are truly awful as an ocular adornment.

Those look good, but I wonder, if I hold the bag out in front of me on my flattened palm like a matre'd, how close would the opening of the bad be to my mouth?

Also, what is this "shelling" you speak of? Doesn't everyone just throw the entire thing into their mouth, suck all the salt off the Shell, crack it open in your mouth like a sunflower seed, suck all the salt it if the inside of the Shell, then eat the peanut and spit out the Shell?



ETA: then later wonder why your sweat can rust a battle ship anchor clean in two in under a week?

No, I'm not a psychopath! I also take the tails off of shrimp, but recently tried just eating them and I didn't die.

An egg is a bad example because it's not comfortable to fit the whole thing in your mouth all at once, the shell has no flavor, and it's difficult enough to remove using your hands; unlike a peanut shell that can easily be popped off with mouth. But I see your point. Do you shell sunflower seeds first?

I don't eat sunflower seeds because I'm not trying to convince myself to not take back up the habit of chewing tobacco that I have yet to give up.
