I like that. Very reminiscent of one of my favorite Lincoln quotes.

The dirtbag living in a camper in the rear part of the commercial lot next door....lost his backyard domicile in a blaze of flames and small explosions tonight.

I am absolutely, profoundly whooped. Busier day than I can remember in quite a while, but some really good cases. Practicing in an ER is often mostly frustrating and without much meaning, but that’s balanced by the occasional chance for big wins (and big losses). Today was a good day, one where I feel satisfied in being tired, sore and completely spent. I needed that. <end catharsis>

Yes, it was a good quote.

I understand that it's better to not speak and be thought a fool, rather than to speak and remove all doubt. But then we wouldn't have religion, politicians, or philosophers.

And then think of all the times some folks thought you were being a fool during your life, they might have even mentioned that to you at the time even....and you did what ya did anyways. Much more could be discussed about words, knowledge, understanding and spirit.

I don't think so. More likely a heater or electrical accident I figure.

Bless ya man! You're doing some tough work that carries some high intensity outcomes...whether good or bad. I'm glad to hear that today was a good one for you.

Ah, you know more about me than I expected, for yes, there have been many of those times. I like the quote, not because I live by it, but because I often (in hindsight) wish I had.
