Well even though the weekend is over. Being retired is always the weekend so (drum rollll)
Here's what 55 T of 3/4" driveway gravel looks like. Color difference is from a lot of it getting wet last drizzle we had.
    back of property looking east

    Looking west from the front

The new 1/2 turn drive in front. After trenching for new power to shop etc, it was easier to rock it than watch dirt grow.
facing north. We dropped 20 t of mixed fill dirt to raise and slope the lowere area.

Thanks, took some doing but it's coming along. We'll rest up on any improvements till next year.

BTW: that brownish looking stuff in the last picture is a few buckets of small rock / squeegee for a non traveled area.

Then I hear a loud metallic ringing clunk and go to back out the driveway and nothing ! The engine reved, I heard a metal grinding sound but nothing, if it weren?t for the light down grade to the street my would have stayed motionless.
Then I put the shifter in drive, gently push on the accelerator, nothing but more of the metallic grinding sound then the RPM?s got to about 1100 - 1200 then BANG & The tires squawked and the truck shot up the driveway.

I?ve had GMC & Chevy trucks for most of my life and ever have had one go out even on the second time around on the odometer Ben getting close to the third time around.

I?m not set up to do the repair myself, even if I was the remanufactured transmission will run about $1400 - $1600. And all the transmission shops are quoting $2100 - $2400 for supplying a remanufactured transmission and labor for R&R.

    Rant over.

By the way, I took the wife?s car and got the hair cut......
I have been admonished by a certain member here that ?I should take back all the bitching that I did? when it turns out that my trans isn?t bad after all, and it is the transfer case selector switch that is the culprit.

So, I take back all the bitching..........

Much better than a whole transmission.

I'm currently on day two of what should be an hour repair on my transfer case. Think I'm going to have to order the appropriate seal online directly from Isuzu.
