I met the lowest threshold for fabrication and am pretty happy about it. Except for the grinding and the welding, my daughter did everything else, turned every bolt, including using the flap disk to grind the paint off. Also, I thought I had black paint sitting around. I guess not. First actual weld on something. I should have practiced a bit first, hope it holds together.

Not bad. You hit them perches with a hammer to see if they stay on? What wire setting and amperage you use? That the 120A welder?

I couldn't find the HKS speed loader. So i took a magpul AR base plate, cut it out to look something like this.

Only i left some "ears" on the inside to catch the thumb button on the mag. When i can't find something in my piles of crap. I'll see what's laying around to fab something up that works, sometimes.

Well it's the 210, but I haven't made the proper extension cord to for my 220v outlet yet, so I was using it 110v. The chart on the side stops at 7/50 for slightly thinner metal. A wire feed speed of 50 never works for me though, so I bumped it down to 30.

My 10/22 is a bullet hose. I bought one of those hand crank loaders and it works pretty well. Better than pushing them in one at a time.

I also need more magazines. Disrupts the flow to have to stop & load after 30 rds.

I haven't bought 22 mags in a long while, and some new ones have been released that I'd like to acquire. Are rimfire mags exempted from the capacity limits? I can't find that anywhere in the limits, only tubular magazines attached to the rifle.
