BC, update with some dad stuff. The fishing story recently was cool.

Taking a few minions fishing this coming weekend at Lake John.

Hoping fishing picks up from what it was midsummer.

Slow fishing at Lake John is how we discovered Ranger Lakes.

Ha, I've barely seen my kids this week. Thanks work for being such a buzzkill and getting in the way of my family life!

My wife, in-laws, and kids (did they even contribute any money?!) bought me a fire pit for my birthday next month. It came in a ginormous box, which is now a "fort" in my backyard. My girls take markers with them and color the inside of it every time they go outside. I can't wait to see what they're drawing when the rain comes, ruins the box, and I have to throw it away.

Good luck fishing! It seems like they're starting to bite more now that its cooling off a bit.

My oldest wants to go fishing again tomorrow, so we may end up going out last minute. Good thing we live at a lake!

Watching a stupid show right now, and they show the view through a scope like this:

Am I the only one that is skeptical? Distance to target is 1.3k, yet the zoom is only 14.4 and a man fills the entire FOV?

Also, how much does one have to spend on a scope to get the built-in range finder (the distance to target keeps changing as the scope moves around).

edit: LOL!! The distance to target changed from 1.2k to 1.3k while moving from the guy on the right, to the guy on the left. Apparently, they're throwing punches over 100yds!
