New rifle is rimfire version of long range rifle.

Lucked out and LGS was able to make deal that put their price within couple dollars of internet sale, shipping, BGC.

Excellent.

The one time I got to play with something like that I was hitting 1.5 x 3 inch diamond @ 200yds on a breezy day. Loved it.

Who do you think you're talking to Kazoo, if im not zeroed for a jagged hole at 100yd why would I bother sending anything out farther?

For the fun of it. We'd have comps to see how many could hit steel @ 100 with their hand gun. Not everything needs to be competitive.

The fun for me is hitting the target every time. Repeatability. Solving the puzzle.

Don't care if other folks can do it unless I get to watch & learn. Beating them isn't the point.

We'd set up steel at 100 yd intervals and see who could hit them with slugs. One might be surprised how far a 12ga slug will travel.
