    Again, good luck Mr. Prena.
    That is very impressive.

When I was in sales 20 years ago, I've heard about britannica encyclopedia door to door sales reps. I've heard they know how to close.
I was in less aggressive sales like automobiles and little bit of financial products. (The company requires most employees to have sales license after glass seagle).

My sales is more of listing it on cl, fb mkt,and sell it for 50 to 300 depends on what model (brand) and year.
20% of them were free and others were paid fraction of pennies on a dollar (paid to current Mkt price).

    Thank you Hummer.

Besides, Thornton to Golden is maybe thirty miles. Maybe. Not sure what kind of bubble you exist in, Walrus, but thirty miles isn't a big deal. My shortest commute for work is longer than that.
30 mi on a mc is just warming up. It's the side journey after getting new skins, that makes the ride worth it.

Might take the scenic route home and see if I can get the little hairy things worn off before I get home.

I don't know what that means but 40 years ago the sets sold for $1200-1800 depending on the finance plan. Cold call sales, door to door. Couldn't get away with it nowadays.

You could have a tough time selling via CL, especially in this environment. If you own inventory, let it go fast. Jmho.

    Sorry for the confusion.
I get it for free from people who hoarded for their kids on LIKE NEW encyclopedia. That is how I started this encyclopedia thing.
    I sell only about 1/month.
There are so many " new old stock" encyclopedia out there that you can literally buy it for $1-50 for a set and flip it.

Books are about <10% of my revenue, and I just started encyclopedia this year (or late dec 2019). I usually do text books to professional books. Not broad knowledge to do vintage books yet.

Everyone I know who sells on Craigslist says it's never been busier than right now. Basically the stimulus came and people are buying up everything.

Let's just say supplies cannot catch up to a demand.
Supplies are limited. I did not even sign a new 2020 contract with some places due to covid19.

I started this year with 60+ golf bags. Currently I have 7 left over. I have about 3 iron set now. I might have to bite my tongue and buy a golf galaxy return pallets. Those have far less profit margins, but it gotta do for now.

Odd thing is that baseball, softball, tennis equipment are not moving at all. Due to social distancing, I think it will be a very slow baseball/softball, tennis season.

FB marketplace is pretty hot now too.

Unless you're trying to sell a diesel truck (for top dollar). Because every out of work yokel with a diesel truck they can't afford... is selling a truck.

Sometimes I use it just to get stuff out of my garage I don't want to carry to the street. Have to ask a few bucks though, free just brings the tire kickers and crazy and a thousand ?sigue disponible? blowing up my messenger.

Okay, interesting. Online used book store. I don't know but wouldn't think encyclopedias older than 12 years would have much value. But then, some folks pay big money for a Corvair. Hey, I've bought and sold a lot on Craigslist.

A friend has done well selling periodicals online over 3 decades. It's evolved to almost all scientific journals but some people like me still collect old journals in their area of expertise. I have ornithology journals going back to 1950.,

Remember the old Union Pacific Railroad calendars? My grandmother collected those. And I have a magnum Caterpillar Tractor wall calendar from 1951, the year of my birth. What do you suppose that would bring?
