I am buried in 9mm. The minions used to attend matches with me and were brass misers. If you didn't claim it as they picked(more like vacuumed) it up it was gone.

    Oh, bother.

I'm on LinkedIn for professional networking and information, particularly since I'm looking for a new permanent job. It seems to be turning into the next Twitter with editorial comments, politics, and people proclaiming victim status. I've had to block 2 people so far in the last month. I'm seeing diminishing value of the platform.

    Anybody else seeing similar issues?

Yeah, it turned into any other social media platform. I ignore it, I only use it to post my resume and apply for work.

I remember 20 years ago, monster and hotjobs were very popular. Too many applicants. After 2004, I haven't used hotjobs , careerbuilder, monster type of jobs. I DO NOT have linkedin either.

I mostly just get invites from a lot of headhunters and marketing people I don't know.

Sometimes it's dumbshit stuff. Like a warehouse worker at a national food distributor that's an (IT) client I'm linked to... or similar stuff.

There's maybe a few influencers I see on the off chance I check it maybe once a month or if I get a request from someone I want to link.

I never cross the streams. LinkedIn is work. FB is close friends and family only and locked down.

I've made like 2 exceptions. One guy I can absolutely trust both professionally and personally, and one ex customer that retired asked to friend me and I caved. That second one was a big mistake. Turns out she's a flaming leftists but we pretty much never talk politics at work and nothing of the sort came up when she was a customer. she now pulls a TDS on just about any MEME or joke or comment I post, even apolitical ones. I'm taking the high road and mostly ignoring it and hoping she'll just go away.
    My Feedback
Credit TFOGGER : Liberals only want things to be "fair and just" if it benefits them.
Credit Zundfolge: The left only supports two "rights"; Buggery and Infanticide.
Credit roberth: List of things Government does best; 1. Steal your money 2. Steal your time 3. Waste the money they stole from you. 4. Waste your time making you ask permission for things you have a natural right to own. "Anyone that thinks the communists won't turn off your power for being on COAR15 is a fucking moron."
