AZ was on the short list, but getting closer to family and the lower elevation and good air quality were higher priorities.

...and I can buy new full capacity mags there. For the moment. Sure to be a political fight every year, but I'm hoping the progressive shenanigans is going to wake some people the hell up.

Let me know what you decide to do. I try to avoid WA due to cost, but I've heard Tacoma isn't that bad at all.

We probably won't be living *in* Tacoma. There are some areas to the southeast that are a bit more remote but still not a horrible commute. We have a lot to do here before we get real serious about finding a place there. Might do a short term rental and figure it out from there.

Good luck with your search. We are in an undisclosed location right now considering a move here. Let's just say there's no IKEA here.

To be fair, our kids lived just outside Gig Harbor and it is beautiful there.

I just couldn't take the gloomy weather long term. Two weeks in December one year and we were glad to be home.

I get the family thing, that's very much what keeps us planted here.

Getting "suck" when you really need it, is a pretty damn good thing. I know that's slightly different, however related.

Actually had a semi decent rain early this morning, but weak for monsoon that isn't happening.

60% chance for Sunday though, I'll take that WITH the bag of chips for sure.....if it happens. Been a weird year again, all dry and no rain to speak of, depressions off the west coast currently might change that soon hopefully.

I get a job in WA yesterday and it's cooler and had some rain today in CO. Coincidence?

Was too nice this morning so I just had to cut the grass. Sure is nice to get a break from the 90s and no rain.

    Fall's a comin'.

I can't believe how fast this year is going, but each year has been feeling like that for a while now I suppose.
