long action stocks

I am trying to.gather the parts for a 338 lapua and am stuck on wich stock to get. What ate you guys using , or what do.you.like?
I really like the jae one but who knows.when they will actually put it out

I shoot a McMillan A4 on a short action - awesome. When I build a .338 it will either be a A4 or A5.

I like McMillan A5's, but I really have been loving the Manners T4 lately though. Feels great.

Once i get ahold of my action, i'm going with the mcrees precision but i'm not sure about folding or fixed. It comes pre inletted for just about every popular action for the 338lm

The JAE Rem 700 stocks are unobtainium , they have been taking orders for over 2 years and haven't delevired any yet and last I heard they were releasing the short action ones first .

If Your looking for a modular stock there are a few out there McRee's , TacMod , XLR , AICS , and Ashbury are the ones that come to mind . I haven't shot any of these other than the AICS so can't give You any first hand experience .

I have an A1 , A2 , and A5 McMillian and would say the A5 is the one I like the most but the pistol grip area is pretty much the same on the A2 - A5's so it comes down to what cheek piece and fore end you like best . My 338 is in the A2.

The best thing though before You decide is to handle the stocks because they are not cheap and You may not like the way they feel , I can't stand the AICS stocks because of the thumbhole .
