yep, I guess you better go buy some Wolf.
of course, you're screwed because to get ammo shipped from Aim Surplus you have to be 21.
    Sorry, 7 more years.
First off how about you get your facts straight?.

    http://www.sportsmansguide.com/cb/cb.asp?a=153249 129 + 15.99 shipping that ='s 144.99 for 1000 rds of new ammo
would be at your house June 30

Cabela’s same price plus I have a 10 dollar coupon that can be used over and over again that I would give you guys.

http://www.classicarms.us/ 1000 rds for 115$ scroll about half way down and give the guy a call he's a good man.

Also if I needed my dad could buy from aim surplus for me, but I don’t need him to since they are overpriced, you can get stuff way cheaper from all those guys. Oh and it's not 7 years till I’m 21 only about 2. So JohnTRourke instead of trying to slam on me how about you try and listen sometimes and maybe save some money next time you want to buy ammo? And Guatemalan ammo is neither cheaper nor better, its old military surplus, wolf is quality brand new ammunition, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it outperforms that old dusty Guatemalan stuff. Everyone I have ever spoken to is quite impressed with the amount of quality you get for cheap wolf ammo. So next time before you try and rip on me get your facts straight. Or maybe even try to be a friend and take tips when I give them or politely correct me if I’m wrong. I’m all for constructive criticism, if you don’t try to insult me while “correcting” me. I just wanted to save you and everyone else that needs .223 some cash next time they need ammo… oh well.

Instead of paying $1220 for 7200 rds of Guatemalan you could get 8000 rnds of wolf for $1032 or if you wanted around 9500 rnds for the same price you payed for 7200 rnds.

Wolf ammo is not the savior you and your airsoft friends make it out to be.
you get what you pay for. do a little reading:

You want Brian to get his facts straight and you claim $100 only to quote prices $15-$50 higher....what are we teaching our children these days...not math evidently.

Actually the Guatemalan stuff is pretty good as long as you don't get one of the open, corroded packages. Even the corroded stuff works it is just not nice to look at.

It is loaded hot and while it is not target ammo it goes bang when it is supposed to.Not the best for low-light shooting...I hear it can be pretty bright with no FH

Sportsmansguide is backordered....don't get me started on how long it can take to actually get what you ordered....if you ever do

Same with Cabela's...they will take orders for stuff they will NEVER have

Classic Arms is a great shop....but they don't always update their website in a timely fashion and that is listed as a March sale....and dude...it is June now :-)

(Maybe you should ask your dad to buy you a power rangers calendar)

Wolf is cheap, dirty, and hard on western built firearms. The steel cases are hell on AR extractors...buy spares if you are going to shoot a lot of wolf

I use it in my AK's...but they were designed and built for crappy ammo.

    Nice stack Brian!

Also...the better AR pistols use a op-rod rather than Direct Gas Impingement

So they tend to be pretty reliable...and the muzzle flash can be impressive

I have toyed with the idea of getting a Kel-Tec and putting a Noveske brake on it...just because I can

If I don't like it I can always sell it to Brian :-)

( I break in all his new guns)

Maybe Delphi's problem was his (Wolf) ammo :-)

LMAO @ UPS drivers, my usual driver just gives me the look.He told my Wife once that he almost has his 30 in, so if I could just wait a little longer to order-

2C, I recently built a couple of AR-pistols.I think they are pretty sweet shooters-YMMV

The only problem I`ve had is after 5 or 6 mags they get too damn hot to hold, WTH is that all about? :P

You can try `em at a South shoot and make your own opinion if you want.

I think I,ll step in on Delphi's side this time. Wolf is all I shoot thru my F/A guns. I have not had any problems with it. I will start buying Wolf .308 when the South African stuff starts drying up. As far as availability goes, I have always bought at the gun shows, but bulk ammo (of ANY make) seems to be getting hard to get around here so I may start buying online. FWIW, I think good ammo-bad ammo debates are stupid. Factory ammo all has to meet the same SAAMI specs, however, you are definetly on your own when it comes to ammo from "Bob-The home reloader".

is it reasonable to assume that you're not really concerned with the accuracy or terminal balistics of the ammo you are running through your FA firearms?

Yes, It is reasonable to assume that. However, most of the guns I have seen at the COAR shoots are of a military nature, so I see no need to load them up with high budget ammo. I shoot Federal Gold Medal Match thru my Rem. 700 sniper rifle, but you won,t see me loading up the SOCOM 16 with it. Wolf will do fine.
