I wonder if access is going to be a problem. I was just flipping through the channels and came across pictures of Douglas County on the weather channel. Apparently highway 67 along the river is washed out between Deckers and Westcreek.

The long way {for those of us on the north side} from WP is all asphalt, so that would not be a problem. My concern would be at the site itself. in other words accessibilty, I don't think that the forest gnomes would like it too much if We tore up the road to much.

The asphalt is washed out along a 4 mile stretch. They're now saying it may take at least a month to repair the damage.

The south route from WP will probably be the only route.

Well that really sucks that takes me out I can't make it. It is only 60 miles from my house to the shoot spot and going to the springs then up through Woodland Park is over 100. I have way too much to do next weekend I can't spend all day Saturday on the shoot.

I have my 20 year high school reunion and have a new deck being put up. They hit almost every damn sprinkler line they could have drilling the caissons so I have to repair that.

I was just going to come for a short bit and head home but with the longer route there is no way I can do it.

Sorry guys will catch up with you all next time.

I'm hoping that Karl will be able to find out from his Forest Service contacts as to whether or not they have any issues with us in the area.

No problems here. I've spoke to forest service officials on numerous occasions about where we shoot and what we de. They have NO issues with our group. And being seen doing occasional cleanups has only helped. Speaking of which, are you guys up to it this time? This area is pretty clean as a rule, but it wouldn't hurt to spiff it up a little a few times a year. Also, are we gonna grill food, etc.? We better make food and beverage plans ASAP! (NO ALCOHOL>>>> NO EXCEPTIONS). Karl.
