One of the disappearing threads last week was one about Aim Surplus (www.aimsurplus.com ) having good deals on surplus South African .308 ($160/980 rounds, battle packs) and Guatemalan surplus .223 ($244/1440 rounds battlepacks)
Arfcom says the Guatemalan is top notch

Speaking of ammo supplies...
I just read an interesting SHTF account from argentina.
The guy was saying rifles are nice, but pistol is what you end up carrying 90% of the time.
He also said having rifle and pistol that use the same ammo is a good thing.
So.... Has anyone shot the little AR pistols? How do they handle, recoil, etc?

AR pistols jam allot.... at least all the ones that i've fired.... i think it has to do with the short barrel which equals shorter distance to the gas tube...
Correct me if i'm wrong but thats my best guess.
All i know is i wouldnt trust my life to an AR pistol stick with a glock or somthin
BTW why are you paying sooooo much for ammo when you could get 1000 wolf rounds for 100$ plus shipping????

I believe he was refferring to this Wolf (from AR15.com today) it is out of stock in most places though.
