I'm looking for a fun accurate plinker in .22LR thats also pleasing to the eye. It may be used for prairie dogging as well.

I personally do not like the look of a standard 10/22 nor does it fit well. I loooked a target model 10/22 because it fits better and would be cheaper than buying a base one and throwing on a new bbl and stock on. OR would it make sense to buy a basic 10/22 and put JUST a scope and new stock on it?

anyway, for the first time i handled a browning buckmark rifle that i found used. both the 10/22T (new) and buckmark (used) are the same price. the buckmark feels great in my hands and also looks neat. not to mention i'm a browning-aholic.

how do these two guns measure up? any other suggestions? total allowance for this gun will be around $440 INCLUDING optics.

Thanks
