Default A little piece of William Fleming’s goodness

    http://www.sturmgewehr.com/webBBS/nf...cgi?read=75214

I have been Emailing this guy about this sear since Thursday. He has not responded. I am guessing he already sold it and is too damn lazy to reply to my Emails or to go mark it as sold  .

First Fleming I have seen for sale without a gun in about a month and a half. Sorry for the rant guys.

Will keep my eyes open. [wink] If your serious Alan can find you one and I will let you know in PM's if I run across anything.

That MP5 you have needs a trigger pack period!

Thanks Hunter, I am looking to buy one from out of state because, correct me if I am wrong but if I buy a sear from Allan I will have to pay sales tax on it which will be about $850 on 11K plus the $200 to the ATF. But if it is out of state and on a form 4 I only have to pay $400 or $200 if its on a form 3.

This seems like a decent deal since I want a HK33K anyway but I would rather just buy a sear.

your wrong about the sales tax there is none all Alan does is do the transfer and you have to pay him for his service not to much to ask. You will have to use a C3 dealer period anyway unless you find a sear in CO.

In short if you get a sear out of state the only way you can get it is to go through a C3 dealer like Alan. They will have to transfer the sear to Alan then he will do the transfer to you. The only way you can avoid going through a C3 dealer is if you buy one from somebody in CO.

    Edit to add:
In most cases if the item is on a form 4 the person selling it will pay the $200 transfer to the C3 dealer. Then you only pay the $200 transfer to yourself. That is something you have to work out with the seller my sear was on a form 3 so I did not have that issue. Most sellers will stipulate what the conditions are for the sale.

I understand the dealer and ATF fees. However I thought there would be in-state sales tax ~8% if I bought a sear from an in-state dealer. Kind of like the sales tax I pay on my suppressors when I buy them from Jensen's. I understand the transfer has to go through an Colorado C3 dealer

The only time you would pay tax is if the dealer had it in stock. If they are only doing the transfer then there is no tax. Except of course the $200 dollar one LOL.

I think you're missing his point. If the dealer pays for the item and then re-sells it to someone in this state, he does have to charge sales tax. On the other hand, if you find the item, pay the owner, and just have the dealer do the transfer, then no sales tax is required because the dealer didn't sell it to him. Karl.

I think you all are missing my point I am not saying to have a C3 get the item I am simply saying let them know you want one. If they come across somebody who has one they can let you know and then you can buy it they can do the transfer and everybody is happy. It's just more eyes on the look out for what you want that’s all I meant. Not to mention sometimes a C3 can get a smoking deal and even if you pay sales tax it will still be less than what you would pay otherwise.

All I am saying is if your serious open the flood gates and see what comes your way you have nothing to loose. [wink]

Thanks HunterCO. I guess I would have to say I am serious. 922(o) is not going away and these things are not getting any cheaper. I saw one on Sturm today for $12.5K, the highest I have seen so far. I have watched them go from $8.5K to $12.5K in the four years I have wanted one so I think it's time to bite the bullet. I can have cash in hand in about a week. It would be great if a local C3 could get a "smoking deal”, but given the supply and demand for these things I don't see it happening.

I would like either a Fleming sear, LaFrance pack, or a Qualified sear (in that order). Unless the deal is absoulty AWSOME I want to stay away from a Ciener sear.
