Went to Dicks this weekend looking for a case that would fit both my Shotgun (taken down) and perhaps my AR. They only had one locking case in that size range and it was a "Lodge Outfitters Alumadot Breakdown Shotgun Case" on sale for $59.99. Figure its a decent deal and I am in line to buy it when I notice the ends splitting open a little bit. I ask to see a different one and it has the same issue. The clerk tells me its not uncommon and I ask "how can this possibly function as a locking case if the ends open" to which he had no reply.


Below is a picture of my 5 yr old daughter using her muscles to see if she can open the end.



Needless to say I would stay away form these gun cases.
