    Default Ear protection question.

Do any of you have this type of muff? Does it work well? I remember from the other shoots some others had muffs that it seemed to me, you could talk and hear normally, and the gunfire didn't bother you. Or any other suggestions? Since liberal wifey is letting me get stuff, I'm trying to milk it for all the goddies I can. [roll]

There are some good, and some bad. Wolf's Ears I hear are top of the line. There are a few in the group that have various brands, wait 'til they chime in before you take the plunge. Karl.

I bought the Peltier 6S for $69.99 and really like them. They work as advertised.

I wish I would have spent the money sooner.

Spend the extra money on the Peltor, sleeker profile and easier to get a weld

I have a pair from Dillon. Electronic muffs are worth the money, but it sound like you will have to get two pairs.

I have the Peltor behind the neck model. Love them.

They work exactly as described, and they have a microphone for each ear. Many of the very cheap ones only give you one microphone. It sounds like nothing, but hearing in stereo makes a big difference.

I am a cheap bastard and wear ear plugs, i have a pair of regular ear muffs when i shoot pistol only, but i cannot stand ear muffs when firing a rifle. Unless im on a rifle that will rattle your brain then i use ear plugs and muffs

I wear the custom fitted earplugs that they mold in your ears. They're the best for quiet that I've ever had, but not good for hearing voice at all. They have an insert for that, with the little device that allows hearing low volume stuff, but they're $$$$$$$$$ If I could afford them, I'd get those. Karl.
