    Default Hi and thanks from another noob

    Found (and bookmarked) the dealer&range reviews page last year, and have been coming back/reading more lately. Many thanks for all the great info!

    No AR here... can I still play if I don't plan on getting one? :roll:

    Have an oldish Ruger .357, been shooting more lately since a friend got a Sig 229. Planning to get an auto pistol for my wife soon, and probably a Mossberg/Maverick 12g after that, or maybe an 870. Just got an Uncle Mike's ambidextrous hip holster for the magnum today at Sportsman's (I'm wrong-handed), along w/ some ammo and targets.

    Just saying hello. :P

    Heh... my buddy w/ the Sig wants an AR bad.

    On that note -- the only "long guns" I've ever fired were RWS pellet rifles years ago, and only .177 at that. Ok stop laughing. They never felt right b/c I want to shoot lefty, but I'm right eye dominant. I've heard two schools of thought on this: either retrain the left eye (pitb), or learn to shoot righty.

    Suggestions? Like I said I don't expect to have a rifle soon, but I figure I might as well work on it when we get the shotgun (hopefully this summer). Oh and sorry if that topic's been covered, I didn't search yet.
