And a very fine shoot it was!!

Pic's are up at http://coloradoshooting.org/ipw-web/...-16-2006-north

The wind chime is definitely showing some wear & tear.
The Dodge pickup spring material is just barely up to the task of 5.56, it seems that after a few shots have hit an area, it gets weak and eventually a shot punches through.
Besides the denting and holes, the thing is bending away from it's original curve, it looks like it will break in the middle soon enough.
I will have to give it the 9mm test to see if it holds up to that any better.
We put the thing about 40 yards out and neither Chrisguy or I were having much trouble hitting it (2.5" X 12") from prone position.
Both of us could get strings of hits before we missed one.
It definitely whips around when you hit it, gotta say I really like reactive targets.
I think a shorter length (maybe 6 or 8") would hold up better because its lighter and has less moment.

Some real jerks showed up looking all high speed and started shooting on the west end.
I didn't notice they had taken my 22 spinner, moved it and were shooting 223 at it.
By the time I went and told them to stop it had 4 holes in it. Nothing like good neighbors.

The rest of the folks today were real fine, especially Ruger and Co. (thanks for the Lapua action!)
The 3 guys right next to us were from Mexico, Taiwan, & Thailand.
They had a 22 and a sweet M1 which I got to shoot,
They tried my AR and thought it was a nice unit.
Very friendly bunch and I gave them the website.
I think I need to get some of those cards if anybody has some left.
