    Default Mega Gator lowers...

Sometime before mid-September, I hope to have a fully assembled ar-15 of my own (finally) and I'm price/quality shopping receivers right now. My question is: has anybody here heard of the Mega Machine Shop "Gator" lower receiver, and is it any good? I heard a few really good things about it, but none by anybody I know personally. I have an inherent lack of trust in gunwriters (except maybe Jeff Quinn) and would rather get some comments from "real" people. It seems to be a pretty decent quality for a price I can deal with.

Mega Machine Shop does parts for the aerospace industry, doing AR15 receivers on the side. I found quality to be top notch. I just finished a build using Mega's upper and lower receivers and all went perfectly. I'm thinking of getting a couple of more for future builds. Here's a few good places that I know of that sells Mega receivers ..............

Thanks man, I appreciate the comments. Yeah, I researched Mega a bit and knew about the aerospace bit, but wasn't sure about the quality other than what I'd read in the gunrags. So your "real world" kudos are well-taken!

I, too, went looking for testimonials before I decided to get Mega receivers. I was actually just looking for comments on which receivers were good to build on and the Mega name came up alot. And I like the logo; didn't want a deer head engraved on it. RRA and Bushy costed about $30 more with no advantages.
There was alot of good things said by alot of builders on several forums on Mega, so I went for it. Have fun with your build!
