Default funniest thing ive seen for a long time

one of my buddies who has only owned a couple revolvers always would talk sh** about my AR. always pointing out mostly imaginary problems with it. well today HE he bought one and wanted me to come over and take a look, i agreed.

now for the funny part, right away, i notice something wierd, the dust cover is not there! i said uhh its missing the dust cover!?

hes like "yeah, i know, i took it off. the button was jammed and it wouldnt open"

i was like "button"?? the "stopper" for it, he thought it was a switch to open it. he actually removed the dust cover to investigate.

while it does have some humor factor to it, it's pretty scary.

Someone w/o any knowledge of a firearm or even perceived knowledge is going to get themselves or someone else hurt if not killed.

    RTFM or ask for help.

I think your buddy needs to follow the Manufacturer's reccomendation and RTFM before playing with his new toy! Believe it or not, those little books often have some good, useful information in them. I hope he hasn't purchased any ammo for that puppy yet.

Wait till the first time he field strips it and then re-assembles it with the rear take down lug matched up to the forward pin, what I call the "Kentucky Long Rifle AR." That's always a hoot to see.
