A Fort Collins man was in custody Tuesday at the Larimer County Detention Center after a road rage incident led to gunfire Monday night.
Details on the incident, which occurred around 8 p.m. at the interchange of Interstate 25 and U.S. Highway 34, are emerging, but Daniel Dominguez-Lopez was arrested near the Prospect Road exit, according to jail booking records.
Dominguez-Lopez, 32, allegedly fired shots at another car as the two vehicles were merging onto northbound I-25 from westbound U.S. 34, according to Colorado State Patrol Trooper Lance Paa.
The second vehicle was not hit, and the three passengers were not injured, Paa said.
The female driver of the vehicle Dominguez-Lopez was riding was not taken into custody, Paa said.
Dominguez-Lopez’s bond will be set during a hearing at 1:30 p.m. today.
