Railed forends / vertical foregrips.

Does anyone know of a forend made that has either: rails at 45 degree angles or a VFG at a 45 degree angle? In my head it seems like a more natural way to hold the front of the shotgun with your left hand.

Something like this:

From front: 

O     <-- muzzle
|\    <-- vfg at angle on pump

Normal vertical pistol grip at the back &#40;with or without shoulder stock&#41;

(Well, I guess it wouldn't be a 'vertical' foregrip if it was canted 45 degrees like that)

I've never seen one for any type of foregrip (AR-15, AK, etc.), but it seems to me it'd be a bit more ergonomic and possibly allow you to cycle the action quicker.

Assuming they don't exist, does anybody see why they shouldn't or why people wouldn't buy them? I think it might be even more popular on shotguns with only a pistol grip at back (i.e. the kind that're generally held further away from you to keep from bonking yourself). IIRC the Sten and some other SMGs from WWII had magazines that went in the side at 90 degrees to the grip, and are seen in movies using the mag/magwell as a foregrip. Something sorta like that but not as extreme.

Just a random thought I had in the shower tonight (and it wasn't even at a holiday in express :P )

I've seen one on a pistol grip only stock, but no idea where.
But
This will only work for stationary targets that are in front of you.
You won't get any swinging motion and able to hit a moving target.

But, that's just my opinion.

I'm trying to figure out why you say swinging wouldn't work?

I admit, I haven't really thought about this other than to post it here and my experience is limited in such things (I still haven't shot my 590 even with the normal foreend and rifle stock).

I thought 'tactical' movemen meant your whole upper torso swiveled along with the weapon?

Unless you mean for flying targets, in which case, I have no idea, having never shot skeet/trap/clays. Then again, I don't think I've ever seen double barrels with vertical foregrips

99.99997542897% of all shotguns don't have a pistol grip fore-end.

I "use" to have one on My fun shotgun. It was the 90 degree one. I don't have it on there anymore. It just didn't "feel" right. at least to Me.

The only one that I have tried that "felt" right was the one on Ryan's little pocket shotgun. That one You almost have no choice but to have it. [roll]
