Amazing job. Glad to hear everyone is ok as well. I hope to be as collected as this if I'm ever in this situation. I pray I never will be.

Holy Hell,
Sounds like you handled it well, you da man!
Glad you all are safe.
I just returned from the police station. I went to turn in as evidence
the items dropped by the perpetrator which had been dropped while I was shouting comands at him, they had fallen under the stairs.
I have spoken at length with my family about what to do in an emergency situation. All I can tell every one reading is to get profesional firearms training. It is worth it. I instintictivly asked if there was anyone else with him. While checking for other suspects I pied the corner, and placed barriers between me and the suspect. All things taught to me by a profesional firearms instructer.
Karl, I do not know the name of the perpetrator. The police took him, and I did'nt ask. I was happy to have him out of my home. If you get a call to bond out anyone charged with first degree criminal tresspass, would you please let them rot.

good job.
I can't tell everyone enough, how much my training saved me in this situation.
There are alot of what ifs that have been playing in my head. I feel that I did what the situation dictated. I am thankful that the situation did not escalate to me using deadly force. This has been very stressful and trying.
I have already started taking more measures to protect my home. Video cameras have already been purchased, and tomorrow I will buy very large no tresspassing signs for the two barriers the perpatrator crossed before coming to my locked door.

All's well that ends well.
