There were only two people arrested for that charge when I checked yesterday. Both bonded out. Unfortunately it only costs $140.00 for that bond through a bondsman. Karl.

Well if he wants trouble

Juding by the scared sh*tless look in his eyes I don't think he will want anymore.

I will let my family know to be careful while I'm at work. They will also be armed.

Karl, Thank you for the information.

    Thank you all.

I called the NRA, they're going to call back monday. You may be able to read about this in the armed citizen section of American Rifleman.

Yet another use of a firearm in a defensive situation that didn't require rounds to be fired. Take that, liberals.

Sounds like you did a good job, man. Stay safe out there.

    UPDATE

I received a subpoena today. I will testify for the prosecution, March 12. I will get to address the judge about sentencing, and will recommend the max. We’ll see what happens; maybe I’ll be reimbursed for my door and door frame. Anyway I'll keep ya'll posted.

We upgraded the security in our home shortly after this. We have a dog who has grown to become a good sentry (he was a pup at the time and slept through the whole thing). My wife now keeps a gun handy.

A few phone calls to the DA let them know that I wanted more than a slap on the wrist for this offender. I'll let ya'll know how it geos.

Hopefully your DA won't get a plea bargain, their preferred method to dealing with these situations.

So, did you have to testify? What happened?

I am very glad that it turned out well for you.

I bet it took some self control not to pull that trigger!

Did you actually take the safety off?

Did you have your finger on the trigger?

    Good job!!!!!
