I've got the CMMG dedicated upper with the same bolt/carrier assembly as yours. Mine loves CCI Minimag & Win. Super X, but doesn't much like Federal bulk (Walmart). The accuracy champ in mine so far, though, is Eley Sport. Just experiment with various ammo till you find what works best in your particular unit.

Buy a BOX of every .22 ammo you can lay your hands on. Try it all - see what works and shoots best for you. Don't buy any bricks until you know you'll be happy with it.

Once you know - and every rifle and conversion kit combo can be QUITE different, you can decide what to make your go-to ammo and stock up on.

If you don't like the price/performance of the ammo that works best, or you can't find any ammo that works well for you, then you can move into adjustments and tweaking.

Should the latter occur, please repost with more information at that later date.

This. I use the fed bulk as my primary 22 ammo overall as it will work in every 22 i own, all 9 of them including the 2 22 conversion kits digest it.

I took my bolt conversion out for the first time this weekend. I was really impressed, didn't have any problems feeding or ejecting. We were shooting Winchester 36 grain.
My buddy has the blackdog drum mag, really easy to load and feeds flawlessly.

We were able to break clay pigeons off hand at 50yd using the irons and managed to break a couple at 150yd with a cheap redfield scope. We were having trouble sighting in the redfield so I had to walk it on.

    Tons of fun though.

Rifle was a DMPS A2 20" HBar, all stock minus the cheap optic and the CMMG bolt.
