    Default IDPA at Ben Lomand

I want to find out how much interest there is in a match out at Ben Lomand Gun Club in Ramah. This is out By Calhan a little north of Ramah 45 min from Colorado Springs and about the same from Castle Rock. Match would be on a Saturday maybe the 1st or 4th saturday.

It would be a lot closer to me than Clear Creek, and I can't shoot on Sundays so Pueblo West is out. I'd love it, once I'm not working weekends.

One thing to keep in mind is getting in bed with the IPSC club out there and using their props and target stands. Its what we do at Clear Creek and Pueblo. Why reinvent the wheel? I can put you in touch with the IPSC guru there.

Hey John, you need to change your location. For a second there I thought you were here in Balad with me.

How far of a drive is it from Denver?
Driving doesn't bother me much, but the total time gone from the family becomes an issue. Especially this year, I'm working in Kansas a lot.

I would try to make it since it's on a Saturday. My wife could even do it. She has to work on the 2nd Saturday of the month, so she won't ever make a CC match.....

    Default Drive Time

I drive from Elizabeth to Golden in about an hour... barring any accidents. Ben Lomond site is about 20 minutes from Elizabeth... soooo count on at least an hour and ten from Denver. It is a beautiful drive, this high-plains Elbert County. You will like the drive.
PS... Do the speed limit [30Mph] through Elizabeth and Kiowa!!!!!!!!!! They do need your money!!!
PSS. PM me for the Elbert County Sheriff's channel frequency - if you have a scanner.
