I probably struck some feelers with that comment but
generally speaking, having kids makes life more expensive. We own our house, we own our vehicles, and we've opted to not have kids anytime soon. Hell, we do not even have any pets because we don't want the extra responsibility. This isn't to say that if you have kids, you don't live a comfortable life because my sister and BIL have two and they are very well off. It's simple math; more people in the household, more money needed to support the house.
It's really funny because people ask us all the time when we are having kids and when we tell them never, they look at us like we are the devil himself. This REALLY blows away the older generation and it's almost like they can't believe us

. We both love kids but just don't want any of our own which I think makes us very unselfish for making that decision. I think we can all agree there are far too many people out there with kids, that shouldn't.
