Me: Yeah. It sounds normal because they've been doing it so long. (Shakes head)
Her: Well how much is THAT gonna cost me?

NO, they're not. My spouse knows if there's an issue while driving, or hears a noise, more than 1x, an inspection is done Last time she said something didn't sound right, the fan clutch was on the way out.

Jim's wife is an exceptional woman. One would have to be exceptional to live with him so long.
Mine, despite being a 'modern' woman, when asked why she waited until the oil pressure light came on to tell me she hasn't had the oil changed in 7,000 miles, will look me square in the eye and say 'That's man's work'.
But if she asked me why the toilets haven't been cleaned and I handed her the brush and said 'That's woman's work', I'd be beaten with it.
It's these sort of inherent logical conundrums that add to the spice of our marriage.

While the brake change gave me the satisfaction of a job well done, this guy just showed up and is something I wanted to spend my money on:

It's also bonus season at work, and this year I dumped a chunk of it into hand tools instead of firearms. The first thing to show up are some fancy stones for my plane irons. After 43 years on this earth and a Rubbermade bin full of assorted sharpening tools, machines, and gimmicks,I finally vow to learn how to successfully hand sharpen a thing. Previous efforts at hand sharpening just left me with either a duller edge than I started with, or one with seventeen different bevels that also didn't cut. But this time, it will be different.

Math is tough. Let's go shopping!

Tow truck. Finally decided to pull my first/high school car out of the parents place and put it in my garage for a father/son project IMG_3209.jpg

84 Camaro z28. My son looks at the high school pic of me leaning on it all the time asking about the car and asking who’s leaning on it. So hopefully it will be fun and spark some mechanical interest into a 6 year old

    OEM

I guess I have to figure out how to install one upside down.

Bought a new replacement OEM grille and the foggy headlights are bugging me. One has a spider crack so not worth trying to polish (again).
