I just received it yesterday so I have not had a chance to use it much. The code can be 4-8 numbers, if you use four it is very fast to unlock. The buttons do not depress, you just put your finger over the number, so entry is quick. You cannot use two numbers at once. I originally was getting one for my son, he needs secure storage for his first pistol but really doesn't have room for anything bigger than this. He also goes camping a lot so he wanted something portable. I got one for myself instead of another mounted box in a vehicle. I figure it can serve double duty and secure valuables while traveling.

Mine is a brand new shipment so I assume it has the new firmware.

Another thing I noticed is LPL was doing the test on the regular version without pluck foam. I think it would be really hard to use that hack with pluck foam in place, since it covers that button.

I think it would be really hard anyways. Unless you already had a unit and knew exactly where the button was. Also to program you have to push that button three times and you only have a few seconds to do so.

Nothing is perfect and most security items just keep honest people honest.

A bad guy can just take it home and have his way with it. I can't imagine that brute force would be unable to open it.

I saw one drift across an intersection in front of me today.
