Correct and a good used or newer mill. Runs about that same price. Only faster delivery, with no deposit.

Haha... you should see the area blocked by the rack in that photo where they all terminate. It would make your skin crawl. That section along the wall is no big deal since the framing would be out in front of it so in the interest of time (they let us in after framing but due to a scheduling conflict we had like a day to run thousands of feet of network, RG6 & speaker wire) we chose to just let it dangle. Sort of adds character to the place if you ask me. lol

I was debating adding a few flags instead that would cover most of that spaghetti until I decide to frame it in.

I've found in life that it's nice to have small pieces of controlled chaos to help keep the balance and prevent you from trying to make absolutely everything around you perfect or at least thinking you can and stressing over not achieving perfection.

    ....that or I'm just lazy.

I need a setup like that! I'm afraid to find out how much that costs, but i guess you can't put a price to your health. Jelly!

Well, it wasn't cheap but we're recouping the initial investment at ~$250/month in Crossfit membership savings. We've already chopped a couple of grand off of the total in monthly savings so we're getting fair chunks of it back based on that. On top of that, I'm sure we'll really appreciate having a home gym once the snow starts flying and the temps drop here in the next few weeks. Then there's also the thing you mentioned about valuation of your health which is a nice place holder until we can recoup all of our initial investment over several years. It wasn't a small investment and it's been a lot of effort acquiring everything and setting it all up but I can't think of many other things I can invest that same money in that would provide a better ROI long-term.

I see their showroom is closed to the public and most of the equipment is OOS. How did you go about purchasing from them? I have an OLD late 90's 24 hour sport membership that is only $50/year, but with the COVID, most of the sport gyms have closed. I have access to a small gym, but lately i've been itching to get my own setup at home. So i figure it's time to get this garage gym into gear.

I'll take any advice you can give. TIA.

    Very carefully.

No but seriously, nothing is ever in stock and it's been the same way there and everywhere since the start of the year. You just have to keep refreshing and when something you want comes in stock buy it immediately. Don't hesitate because it will be gone within seconds. Don't ask me how I know. Make a list of what you want and then check regularly and commit to buying in your head before it comes in stock. That way, when it does, you don't hesitate to consider. Just pull the trigger.

It's a really good deal if you do local pickup and will save you a TON over shipping from places like Rogue, Titan, et al. Just stack up the orders and then once you get all you want and are ready to make a trip to pick it up just use their link to schedule the pickup. They'll pull all of the orders so you can pick them all up at once. Pretty simple really.

COVID19 closing all of the gyms clear back in March was our motivation. Fortunately, we already had a Rogue Echo Bike from a couple of years ago and the Concept 2 rower I lucked out on a few months ago when Rogue got one in stock. I didn't want to pay shipping but 1) it wasn't that bad and 2) I wasn't going to wait another 6-months for someone else local to get one in. We really needed two cardio machines to make this setup work for the wife and I. We modify workouts w/ running in them for the cardio machines and rotate who uses what between different workouts. Today was a 5-round workout that had 400m rows starting off each round so the wife rowed a 500m and I biked 1,000m each round. Works great. Yesterday she had the bike and I had the rower. We alternate machines for the warm-up so you get a different modality each time you do cardio. Once the weather warms back up again (we workout at like 5:00am) we'll take some equipment up to the garage and run for cardio.

We definitely picked the worst time in history to try to build our own home gym but it's been worth it so far. We really love having our own spot and finally found another excuse to not finish out our basement that we've been threatening to finish for 15 years now. lol
