I had one (just black), but sold it with the house since it was in the basement. It was put there with a crane. Considering the cost to move it, we just opted to include it with the sale.

That is one thing those style heaters are known for - roll out the heat.

I should make some time to get an insert for my fireplace to enjoy that when I want to warm up the north side of my house as in near the garage.

Better yet, I should get one and install it inside the garage; I do have a nice spot that should / maybe work - raised cement floor. I would want to
line the area with cement board just because....

The only thing I wonder is how hungry they are for the sort of temps we have...

This morning it raised the temp from 64 degrees to 70 degrees in an hour. I have very high ceilings and about 7000 cubic feet to heat. With very poor insulation.

Four preset settings but user adjustable for feed motor and fans speeds. In the morning I can turn it on with my phone from the bedroom and when I am done with my shower the front rooms are nice and warm.

It's not very loud- about the same as the portable A/C unit I use in the summer that is a bit smaller. However when I got it, it was buzzy at times. I took it apart and had to shim the auger motor. I found several loose screws and a loose pop rivet. It's been very quiet since then.

It would be perfect in a garage. I'll keep it when I get out of this condo just for that.

It gobbles some pellets on high. Rated at 3.7 lbs/hr. Once it gets going I turn it to low and it uses 1.7 lbs/hr but that is if it keeps running. It has a thermostat that will shut down into two different idle modes.

I have put about 60 pounds through it. There was minimal ash in the ashtray- about three cups. I took it apart and there wasn't much inside the unit. This leads me to believe it meets the claimed 76% efficiency.

I used a Lowe's credit card and got $100 off, I think. I also got a federal tax credit form for a 26% so it cost me about $700.

I am very happy with it so far.
