There's a lot more of us ugly mf'ers out here than there are of you pretty people!

Nice, but all that sugar! No thanks.
The pressure tank on my domestic spring water system failed so I bought a larger 44 gallon tank. The connections were all different and much better than the old one, but the old tank had a handy mount for the pump so I left it in place. The line runs through two 5 micron filters before the UV sterilizer, then to fixtures upstairs. This is in the enlarged crawl space. Next job for a later day is to bypass the UV for the outdoor hydrants. The untreated water is still safe to drink, but the UV offers more protection. The system is fed by a spring, all pipes buried underground, that runs 30 gallons per minute. About 19 million gallons a year. Free water but for the electricity to run the pump and UV light.
Amateur plumber, I built everything myself.

Holster seemed ridiculously long so I cut it down.

After trying to figure out why my primary computer was getting down right slow after when I
started to run a game. I was thinking there was an issue with the video card, them computer powered off.
My next thoughts went to power supply or even the main boot drive. Lucky that I noticed the post code on the
mother board and figured out it should be the CPU heat sink. The dead giveaway was when
I tried to spin the fan by hand there was a lot of drag.
With luck the h/w will arrive this Sat; so I guess I have my plans set.
I would head over to MicroCenter in Denver but they had only one CPU heat sink in stock for
the AMD4 socket that cost almost as much as the CPU I have. The CPU heat-sink I bought
is not bleeding edge designed for high thermal load. But then the AMD CPU I have is not the
heat monster so it well within its ability. It should be significantly better than the OEM fan
that came with the processor which is almost impossible to get.
So, one thing led to another - the old computer is toast - well; at least the CPU is...seems some
dolt managed to forget to take off the plastic shim on the CPU, and thus fused the cooler to the CPU.
It seems like more than a few pins on the CPU are toast and the motherboard is 2+ generations out of date. AM4 socket versus the AM5.
But the good news, I did manage to get over 3-4 years of use before that error caught up with me.
I had a bare bones computer that setup for another project that was OBE. At least I can raid
the old hardware for the hard drives.
And yes, I am the dolt- I remember reading the instructions and they said to do something stupid and I did.
