    You mean front, right? In the winter months stopping & steering is more crucial than acceleration.

    I removed those from the rear and the new ones will be going on the front (rotates the front ones back), Audi so AWD but not really a snow car anyway

    exactly... you want the front end to lose traction before the rear end.... If the front end starts to lose traction, you get controllable understeer. If the rear end starts to loose traction first, you get an uncontrollable spin.

    That might be fine and dandy for you but I'd rather have the wheels that steer have as much traction as possible. I can deal with the back end being lose better than the front end being pushed around.
